Two model numbers define the recall
On August 20, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced recall 26-715 for Workbless electric pressure washers, models WB0301 and WB0302. CPSC says the machines lack an integral ground-fault circuit-interrupter and an adequate-length power cord, posing serious risks of shock and electrocution.
The notice covers about 2,200 units in the United States, with another 657 listed in Canada. No incidents or injuries were reported. That incident count does not change the stop-use instruction, and the recall does not extend to every Workbless product or every electric pressure washer.
Use the rear label, then reconcile retailer records
Both recalled models are green and black, but color is only a screening clue. CPSC says the back label on WB0301 reads “WORKBLESS,” “WB0301,” and “ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER.” The WB0302 label reads “WORKBLESS,” “WB0302,” and “HEAVY DUTY ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER.” Both models came with four quick-connect nozzles and a foam cannon.
CPSC lists sales through Amazon.com, Best Buy, Kohl's, Lowe's, Overstock, Target, and Walmart from April 2025 through July 2026 for $97 to $140. Search retailer accounts, emailed receipts, purchasing cards, employee reimbursements, and asset records; a current product listing or a glance at accessories is not enough to clear a unit.
Contact Workbless before destroying the unit
CPSC directs owners to stop using a recalled pressure washer immediately and contact Workbless for a full refund. The agency says consumers will be asked to cut the unplugged power cord in half, send a photograph of the destroyed machine, and then dispose of it.
Workbless's recall page asks for proof of purchase, a model-label photograph, and a photograph of the destroyed unit. Contact the company before disabling or discarding the machine so the current evidence, sequence, and disposal instructions are clear. Keep the unit unplugged and quarantined while the claim is pending.
The official remedy is not a field modification. A portable GFCI, longer extension cord, replacement plug, or in-house electrical change is not the repair CPSC published and should not be used to return a recalled WB0301 or WB0302 to service.
Close the gap between a purchase account and the fleet list
- Search every named retailer account and purchasing channel for WORKBLESS, WB0301, and WB0302, including personal purchases reimbursed by the company.
- Tag and physically isolate each possible match. Remove it from dispatch, backup stock, loaner equipment, demonstrations, resale, donation, and employee-use channels.
- Photograph the rear label and record the unit's location, purchaser, order number, stop-use date, and recall contact attempt before beginning the refund process.
- Follow the current Workbless instructions for proof, destruction, refund, and disposal. Retain the final confirmation with the equipment record rather than only in a purchaser's inbox.
- For future small-equipment purchases, capture the brand, model, seller, order number, and responsible custodian at intake so a recall search reaches inexpensive and employee-supplied machines as reliably as primary fleet equipment.
