How advertising works

Commercial relationships are visible to readers and kept separate from the research used to compare providers and publish professional news.

Open to competing providers.

Advertising is non-exclusive. A current advertising relationship does not block another provider that serves the same locations or offers the same services. Eligible competitors may advertise at the same time; each enquiry is considered individually, subject to availability and acceptance.

Transparent

Clearly labelled placements

Paid placements are labelled as an “Advertisement” or “Sponsored placement” beside the placement. Sponsored links lead directly to the advertiser, which supplies and confirms its offer, pricing, availability, and quote response.

Independent

Advertising cannot buy a ranking

Advertising does not affect provider inclusion, alphabetical order, evidence labels, service filters, editorial reviews, news selection, source treatment, or correction handling. Every provider remains subject to the same published rules.

Direct

No routed leads or guarantees

We do not send reader contact details to providers. Placement, format, timing, price, and availability are agreed before an advertisement runs, without promises of impressions, enquiries, bookings, or revenue.
