Method explainer

Pressure is a tool setting, not a complete cleaning plan.

Names are used inconsistently. Ask what equipment, pressure at the surface, temperature, chemistry, dwell time, agitation, rinsing, protection, and recovery will actually be used.

Pressure washing

Uses pressurized water. It can suit sound concrete and other durable surfaces when pressure, tip, distance, and technique are controlled.

Power washing

Often means pressure washing with heated water, although providers may use the term generically. Confirm temperature and why it is needed.

Soft washing

Uses lower application pressure and relies more heavily on cleaning chemistry and dwell time. Confirm material compatibility and protection.

A comparable scope

  1. Name every surface and stain.
  2. Record the proposed method and test area.
  3. Identify water, power, access, and protection responsibilities.
  4. State how wash water and debris will be managed.
  5. List realistic outcomes and exclusions.
  6. Define completion, inspection, and correction.
